Photographer Overview

I am a photographer who lives to capture a natural and carefree moment.

My name is Starr Martinez.  Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years, but when I decided to take my first photo class at the International Center of Photography (ICP), I fell in love.  During that first class I realized photography was more than just a hobby, it was my passion, and I needed to pursue it seriously.  I continued to study at ICP and also worked under an award-winning wedding photographer to get more hands-on experience.  The rest, as they say, is history.

I prefer to take a photojournalistic approach to photography becasue I love to capture timeless moments - those moments that would othewise just pass us by without ever being noticed.  I believe those special moments are the magic that turn ordinary pictures into memories that will last a lifetime.
