Photographer Overview

My name is Stephanie Patton and I am located in Lake Jackson, Texas. I am a married mother of 3, former police officer and salior as well as a graduate of the Art Institute, where I received my associates degree in photography; I graduated with honors, with a GPA of 3.8. In addition to NewbornPhotography.com, I am also a member of the Professional Photographers Association, International Association of Newborn Photographers and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.

l create photographs not only you will treasure, but so will generations to come. My photos are edited to have a natural, airy and organic feel to them mixed with a touch of nostalgia as I am a fan of all things vintage. I prefer to speak with my clients ahead of time to see what their personal tastes are, in order to make their session more personal to them by utilizing props I may have or suggesting a location that will suit them. Using different props and locations (for maternity sessions) allows me to give my clients personalized sessions tailored to their likes and needs.

For quite some time I photographed families, seniors, couples and everything in between but decided to focus strictly on maternity and newborns in June of 2014. I felt as though this is where my skills excelled and I was most creative; what made me most happy. Therefore I wanted to put all my energy into these types of sessions and be able to work strictly with women/families during these most precious moments in their lives. It was a hard decision, but one I'm definitely glad I made.

I have a passion for creating portraits because they in a sense are like time capsules; it gives me such joy to be able to look back at photographs of a time long past and recollect on old memories I had forgotten. Since the invention of the camera, photographs have been used to record families’ history. What history will you leave behind for future generations?
