Photographer Overview

I'm Mary and I'm a wife, mama, professional photographer and corporate event planner based in Madison, Alabama. My husband gifted me my first DSLR camera on Christmas Day 2011. I learned how to shoot in manual from the get-go and never looked back.  In 2014, I lost my son, Greyson, and almost lost his identical twin brother, Jack, after he was born sixteen weeks prematurely. Over the four months he fought for his life in the neonatal intensive care unit, my passion for photography grew immensely. I photographed Jack's most vulnerable moments from the very beginning...because there was a time when I thought those photos may be all I would have left of him. Documenting Jack's fight for survival daily taught me that there is beauty to be found in each day - even the terrible, sad and incredibly ordinary ones. Aside from photography, I enjoy watching live music, cooking, lifting weights, gardening, writing and traveling anywhere and everywhere.
